I have been absent from this blog for far too long. It has been a hectic year-a new relationship, a move, starting and stopping interior classes, and...two failed design internships. My experiences have made me look at what I want to do with design. I have no shortage of ideas, just shortage of execution. I have learned that I do not want to be an interior designer. I like design because I like to look at and live with pretty things. The sheer lack of pretty things you see being a designer is uninspiring. What I do want to do is find things for people and put them together for them. But I don't want to charge them more for products simply because they are only available to the trade. And I tend to think that, honestly, most of the work that traditional interior designers do is ugly. Plain and simple. My intent from here on out is to focus on this blog and on starting an online business. I'd also like to buy a house, stage it, and flip it. Just to see if I can do it.
