I have been in the midst of a little shopping spree. Oops. I have some new pillows, a rug, and window treatments all coming in the next month which I am so excited about but also somewhat anxious. You never know exactly how something is going to look until you get it in the space. You can picture it in your head, over and over, but sometimes it just doesn't look like how you imagined. It's like when you travel to a new country for the first time. You daydream and make plans. You get this image of what you think it will look like, feel like, smell like. And then you get there and it is never ever ever like what your head had conjured up for you before you stepped off that airplane. I've been in pillow and rug agony since our new sofa got here and I'm hoping this is the end of it all. And then it will be time to move on to something else! I've been contemplating a mirror for my entryway. It needs more than that over time but a mirror is the first thing I want to add. I think it'll open up the space and draw some light in from the living room. I know I want to do something ethnic and visually interesting with some texture and depth.
My top choices this morning:
*And some are extremely out of my price range. Extremely.*
